‘Lunch ‘N Life’ event to feature singer Jocelyn Jackson.

Shepherd’s Center of Oakton-Vienna (SCOV) is hosting their first in 2016 schedule of Lunch n’ Life events. The March 14, Lunch n’ Life includes lunch and dessert plus guest singer, Jocelyn Jackson, who will be performing Broadway hits from the 40s – 50s. Everyone is welcome. A free blood pressure screening begins at 11 a.m. Lunch served at noon followed by performance. $10 per person. Registration and payment due by March 9, 2016. Jackson has been singing and acting all over the world since the age of two, professionally by the age of twenty. She received her Bachelor of Music from Boise State University. She is a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Association and the Screen Actors Guild, the Songwriters Association of Washington and the Washington Area Music Association. She has appeared on many television shows and movies. She is the Activities director at Tall Oaks Assisted Living.

Founded in 1997, the Shepherd’s Center of Oakton-Vienna is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for adults (50+) to seek rewarding lives and to live independently in their homes for as long as possible. Each year more than 250 volunteers at SCOV serve as medical drivers, companion drivers, friendly callers and visitors, health and wellness educators, office assistants, fundraisers and grant writers. Volunteers also run programs, such as SCOV’s Lunch n’ Life, Adventures in Learning, trips and outings, special events, and the caregivers’ support group.
